I don’t necessarily have any sort of process. Being surrounded by new and vastly different creative people in a musical environment is fluid in nature, and I never quite know where I’m going to fit into your band until we’re in the middle of it. If there is a common thread, it’s that I most often find myself advocating for the song, as if it’s the quiet member in the corner that can’t find the words to ask for less guitar solos. To put simply: while I love a good riff, I’m much more excited by a good pre-chorus.

I’m finding that my preferred balance in the studio is actually spending the majority of my year behind my big dumb vintage console, mixing records for bands that have recorded elsewhere. I feel at peace behind the speakers, and the day goes by without me noticing. Being a bit more selective about the records I do the full production for here in the studio allows me to stay excited and refreshed for producing, letting me approach each project with the enthusiasm and energy it deserves.

I'm Billy Mannino, owner of Two Worlds

I'm a multi-instrumentalist producer, mixer, songwriter and collaborator. Ex-member of Oso Oso, twice actually I think? Oso lore gets kind of confusing.

Anyway, I like to make records. It’s all I do; all I think about. I am obsessed with the possibilities, the chaos, the momentum, the structures, the hooks, the choices. Making a song that feels like it's the most important thing in the world — that moment is truly what I live for.
